针对国内外辅助制动装置性能的显著差异问题，基于整车性能理论研究了发动机辅助制动扭矩、车轮辅助制动扭矩和车轮辅助制动驱动力等缓速器重要性能指标及其相互关系，以一重型牵引车为实例对发动机缓速器辅助制动性能进行计算及试验验证，为后续车型开发的前期匹配和后期验证提供了一定理论基础．

Aimed at the significant differences between the domestic and the foreign auxiliary brake, this paper, based on the theory of whole vehicle performance, studies a few major performance measures of retarder and their relationships, such as auxiliary braking torque, wheel auxiliary braking torque and wheel auxiliary braking driving force, and makes calculations about the brake performance of engine retarder and proves the results by an example of heavy traction vehicle. It provides the theoretical foundation for the early matching and later configuration of subsequent vehicle types＇ development.
