在《贫困的哲学》里,蒲鲁东将黑格尔的辩证法庸俗化,把范畴看成永恒不变的原则,把社会经济制度的发展变化看作是理性演变的历史。马克思在《哲学的贫困》中,批驳了这种本末倒置的说法,首次指出经济范畴是生产关系在理论上的表现,强调对现实经济活动本身进行深入研究。马克思关于范畴的观点,是对唯物主义的进一步阐发,再次清晰地表明了其重视实践的哲学气质,表现出其理论勇气和深度。

In the Poverty of Philosophy, Proudhon made Hegel＇ s dialectics vulgar and took category as eternal principle. By his point, the development of social-economical system was the history reason. In the Philosophy of Poverty, Marx refuted this inverted view and pointed that economical category is the theoretical expression of production relations by the first time. Marx emphasized the necessity of researching economical action. Marx＇ s view of category further elucidated the materialism and indicated his philosophical temperament of practice and showed his theoretical courage.
