The paper analyzed the causes which influence rib spalling and rool tailing in tully mecnamzeu mmmg ~ace uu,. ~ r" of geological structure, mining height, support working status and the time of stopping mining. Combined with actual situation of fully mechanized mining face, the article proposed measures to prevent rib spalling and roof falling. The practice has a reference action for fully mechanized working face in similar mining conditions.
