Through the design case of construction drawing for the Zihe Bridge abutment at Renhuai-Chishui Highway in Guizhou, the reason of pile foundation of abutment at high 1ill embankment causing negauve friction and the calculating method thereof are described and then the construction process, technology and key points for such abutment are proposed. The practical result shows that the engineering quality is good.
