How to classify (or group) tunnel surrounding rock to meet the requirement of TBM construction is worth to be studied. The article, combined with the tunnel surrounding rock classification under TBM construction condition in Dahuofang water conveyance project, studies the boreability of the surrounding rock mainly, and then bases on this to carry out the support structure design, which are in favor of further study on tunnel surrounding rock classification and TBM construction.
