Sulfur dioxide and nitric oxides caused serious consequences to environment. It is essential to develop flue gas purification technology. In view of this, emphasis is given on the introduction of traditional method of desulfurization and denitration. The integrated processes for simultaneous removal of SO2 and NOX in flue gas is also been discussed in the same time concerning their process characteristics, basic principle and problems.
