黄精在杜甫秦州诗中凡两见,涉及两首诗,一为叶太平寺泉眼曳,意在幻想登仙而设想种黄精曰一为野同谷七歌冶之二,是因饥饿难忍而挖黄精。古今注释多将其单纯作为一味中药来解释,未能揭示其仙家文化的特殊含义,从而影响到人们对诗的正确理解。实际上,杜甫以黄精入诗,闲适的时候想到种黄精,是因为认定此物能使人羽化登仙曰困顿的时候想到挖黄精,是因为认定此物能使人辟谷休粮。归根结底,不论是种黄精还是挖黄精都是由黄精承载的神秘文化决定的。

Sealwort appeared in the two poems by Du Fu, the Chinese Great Poet, composed in Qinzhou. One of them is Tai Ping Si Quan Yan,in which Du Fu imagined that he would plant sealwort to become an immortal. The other is the second of Tong Gu Qi Ge, in which the poet depicted that he dug sealwort to eat because of starvation. In notes about these two poems from ancient times to now, sealwort has always been explained as a kind of Chinese medicine. However, its special meaning about the immortal culture has not been unveiled, which influenced the cor- rect understanding of these two poems. As a matter of fact, there are two reasons why Du Fu mentioned the sealwort in his poems：one is because he thought this plant could make him an immortal, he thought of planting it when in leisure ; the other is because he believed that it could stop his diets, he went to dig it when in difficulty. To sum up, both his thought of planting sealwort and digging them is determined by the mysterious culture carried by sealwort.
