Embroidery is one of traditional Kazakh handicrafts. A comprehensive with multifariously odd pat-terns and decorations and harmoniously gorgeous colors, the exquisite embroidery art is a wonderful work of grassland culture in Xinjiang. It not only embodies the Kazakh women's passion for life, but also adds a strong sense of color to the grassland life. An in-depth study on the artistic characteristics of Xinjiang Kazakh embroidery art would contribute to a deeper understanding of the characteristics of Kazak folk art decorative style.
