　　学生通过隐喻建构老师的形象，隐喻以其精练独特的方式告知我们学生对老师这一形象的所思、所想。通过对比分析学生对理想与现实的老师形象的隐喻化描述，发现学生的描述主要体现老师在外在形象、知识结构、知识呈现、指引作用、师生关系和人格魅力六大方面，其中反映了老师形象上的不足及学生期待和现实中受学生欢迎的教师形象。更重要的是学生对英语教师形象的心理需求凸显出来了。

Students construct teachers′image by using metaphors which tell us students′thinking about image of teachers con-cisely and specifically.The study on the comparison between students′metaphorical description of ideal and real teachers′im-age has discovered their description mainly focuses on six points:appearance, framework of knowledge, presentation of knowl-edge, guidance, relationship between students and teachers and glamour of personality .Their description reflects defect of teachers′image and welcome image in expectation and reality .More importantly, students′psychological need of English teachers′image is salient.
