The applicable geology for compound cutter-head for earth pressure balance shiled is introduced briefly; this pa-per gives discussion about the characters of cutter-head structure design, cutter configuration and position, and constructs the FEM model for cutter-head main structure; The structure response of cutter-head under stimulated load was computed numerically and analysis result is consistent with assumed design.
