A sentence is eompletdy composed by noun or noun phrase, which is not a common phenomenon of natural language, but a unique phenomenon of Chinese language. This kind of sentence pattern has various names, but it is generally named noun pattern sentence.The former as well as the present experts had studied it from different angles,and had also obtained gratifying achievement. But the study of noun pattern sentence still has broad space for further studies. This article will review the former research, appraise their gain and loss, and finally make a further definition for noun pattern sentence based on the former research.
