可持续发展是与传统发展观不同的一种理念。大学可持续发展是指大学主动吸收可持续发展的基本理念、基本原则,以之作为大学改革与发展的指导思想,注意调控发展过程,使现实的大学发展具备持续、协调等良性特征,既能满足大学自身不断发展的需要,又能满足社会可持续发展战略的需要。它具有持续性、整体性、平等性和协调性。然而其发展又受到诸多因素的制约。为此,需采取以下基本措施:建设复合型教师团队;培养学生“学会学习”、优化学风,提升教学内容、教学方法的新度系数;打造高效、现代、全方位服务水平,优化环境、建设绿色、节约型校园;加强科学研究、知识的创造、科技的创新,激发活力、打造核心竞争力、提升自主科研创新能力;产学研结合、“三区联动发展”,打造广阔的发展空间。
