湛江市区工程建设持力层选择是第四系土层,为海相及海陆交互相沉积。近海地段以淤泥、淤泥质土、粘土、粉质粘土与砂层呈互层状分布为主;远离海滨地带以海陆交互相沉积层为主,岩土以粘性土及中粗砂为主。

Quaternary soil horizon is desirable as bearing course for municipal engineering construction in Urban Area of Zhanjiang city, Guangdong province. Quaternary sediments mainly are composed of marine and paralic facies. The interbeded marine sediments that are mainly composed of silts, silty clay, clay, siltstoneclay, are mainly distributed in the onshore areas. The offshore sediments principally are mainly the marine-land interbeds and composed of clay and medium-coarse sands. The Quaternary soil horizon generally contains the silt-fine-sand viscous layer, and the mid-coarse-sand layer is the good bearing course for common engineering foundation for the high buildings.
