从新疆某鸭场的病鸭中分离到1株大肠杆菌,"O"抗原血清学鉴定为O78,药敏试验结果显示该分离株已产生较高程度的耐药性。对鼠疫菌素受体基因fyuA、铁调节蛋白基因irp2、LEE致病岛转录活化因子ler、紧密粘附素eaeA、Ⅰ型菌毛必须蛋白基因fimC、P型菌毛结构基因papA和血清耐受基因iss进行基因测序分析,结果表明该株细菌存在强毒力基因(high-pathogenicity island,HPI)。动物实验表明,该菌可引起雏鸭发生急性全身败血症;10日龄雏鸭半数致死量为2.0×105CFU/ml,表明该菌具有高致病性。
