交际双方在交流过程中出于对自己或者对方面子的考虑,都要对语言做出一定的选择,以顺应当时的时空、社交环境及心理感受等。由于中西方文化背景的不同,所涉及的面子就具有各自的文化特征,因此,交际双方都要加深对于跨文化交际的理解,以实现交际的成功。

교제쌍방재교류과정중출우대자기혹자대방면자적고필,도요대어언주출일정적선택,이순응당시적시공、사교배경급심리감수등。유우중서방문화배경적불동,소섭급적면자취구유각자적문화특정,인차,교제쌍방도요가심대우과문화교제적리해,이실현교제적성공。
The two parties in the communication, due to the rnianzi（face） they must take into the consideration on the side of himself and the opposite, are supposed to make the certain choice of speeches for the adaptation to the prevailing time and space, the social environment and the psychological feelings. The face concerned is characteristics of each culture because of the different cultrual background between China and western countries. Those two parties should make a detailed understanding of intercultural communications for the success in communication.
