Aiming at a case of ultrasonic wave test , the paper introduces ultrasonic wave PD detection and the analysis method. First of all , grid division is adopted on the crust of the faulty device , and then the effec-tive value of ultrasonic wave is filled in the grid to determine the fault location initially; besides, by combin-ing the result of UHF measurement, result of SF6 composition detection, ultrasonic signal characteristic infor-mation and internal structure of the device , the fault is specifically localized at the very end.
