Self-loosening is one of the most widespread reasons for failure of bolted joints. From the main factors that affect the process of Self-loosening, this paper presents a review on the research progress in the field, sums up the problems and disadvantages of current researches, presents some possible development directions in this field and provides a reference for more in-depth study of the issue in the future.
