Combining with engineering practice of bearing replacement of Grand Canal bridge main pier in Tianjin road Huai'an city,this paper suggestes that synchronous jacking technology should be used for the beam bodies in the left and right side of a main pier at the same time,jacking force and jacking displacement should be controlled simultaneously as well. The maximum amount of jacking and height difference of jacking are controlled by field monitoring. Through the technology, large tonnage bearings are replaced successfully.
