Humanity exploration is all along an important theme in literary works.By analysing Maugham’s three well-known novels Of Human Bondage,The Moon and Sixpence,and The Razor’s Edge,the paper attempts to interpret the process of the heroes’ humanity awakening and spiritual freedom.The elaboration is also made on Maugham’s real description of humanity and his deep concern for the destiny of mankind.
