以衡阳市1979年、1986年、1994年、2002年和2008年的土地利用现状图及相关统计数据为基础,在GIS技术支持下,首先将土地利用现状图矢量化,然后利用ArcGIS软件叠置分析和缓冲区分析及扩张强度指数、紧凑度指数和分维数等量化指标,从扩展总体情况、扩展强度、扩展形态和扩展阶段4个方面测度城市空间扩展特征,最后探讨了衡阳城区空间扩展的主要影响因素。

Firstly, the land-use map of 1979,1986,1994,2002 and 2008 in Hengyang City was vectorized in the ArcGIS soft- ware. And then, its spatial expansion characteristics were measured from the overall land-use situation, the growth intensity, the growth form and growth stage by using overlay analysis, buffer analysis, expansion intensity index, compact index, the fractal dimension, and quantitative index. At last, the paper discussde its main influence factors.
