党组织在民办高校的地位总体较低，且地区和校际之间差异较大。相关法律和政策保障不足，民办高校领导体制和治理结构的特殊性，以及民办高校党组织自身建设水平较低等，是造成党组织地位缺乏保障的主要原因。加强法律和政策保障，完善民办高校领导体制和内部治理，加强党组织自身建设是加强地位保障的有效途径。

The organization of the Communist Party of China in private university is generally in a low status. Meanwhile there are differences between regions and universities.
