The water flow control methods and the importance of the water flow regulation in the water supply project are introduced. The theoretical model and the implementing way of water flow control and adjustment of the pump station are stressed on. Based on the flow-speed (or flow-angle) regulation, the proportion-integral-differential coefficient (PID) regulation of pumping unit is proposed, and the PID regulating principle, the parameter determination, the latching requirements and main commissioning steps are analyzed.
