翻译过程中,文化因素的处理至关重要。英汉隐喻性词语富含各自民族的文化信息,成为翻译研究的重点和难点。对于英汉文化重合现象,译者可以采用直译的方法;对于英汉文化部分重合的现象,可以采取套译的方法;而对于英汉文化的空缺现象,译者可以酌情采用直译、意译或直译加注等翻译方法。译者应该掌握必要的文化知识,具备跨文化交际意识,认真处理好翻译中的文化问题,让译语读者感知并接受原语文化,以实现翻译跨文化交流之目的。
번역과정중,문화인소적처리지관중요。영한은유성사어부함각자민족적문화신식,성위번역연구적중점화난점。대우영한문화중합현상,역자가이채용직역적방법;대우영한문화부분중합적현상,가이채취투역적방법;이대우영한문화적공결현상,역자가이작정채용직역、의역혹직역가주등번역방법。역자응해장악필요적문화지식,구비과문화교제의식,인진처리호번역중적문화문제,양역어독자감지병접수원어문화,이실현번역과문화교류지목적。
The problem of dealing with cultural dements plays a significant role in the translation between English and Chi- nese. Since the metaphorical phrases embody rich cultural connotations, the translation of these metaphorical phrases becomes the focus and difficulty in the English-Chinese translation. As to the overlap and partial-overlap between Chinese and English cultures, literal translation and naturalization are employed respectively. While translating the cultural discrepancies, various methods and techniques may be adopted in view of maintaining the distinguished cultural features. Therefore, a translator should be armed with bread cultural knowledge as well as the intensely cultural consciousness, and carefully handle the cultural elements contained in SL so as to lead the readers of TL to perceive and accept the culture in SL.
