Weight control of drilling platform is not only one of key technical indicators during design and construction, but also one main factor for success of the platform design and construction. This article describes the importance of controlling drilling platform weight, and a lot of holes for main structures on platform must be opened during production design, optimizing general arrangement. In this paper, the reinforcement methods and measures are be mentioned not only to ensure the platform main structure, but also to control the weight of platform effectively.
