This article describes the form of installation and main technical parameters of a driving axle for a low-floor bus, and provides an analytical method for driving axle housing, then does the strength analysis for the driving axle housing in the following typical working conditions: vertical bending, braking, comering and maximum traction conditions based on finite element analysis software HyperWorks. The above analysis results of the text provide some reference for finite element analysis of the follow-up to the driving axle housing.
