Influences of CaCO3 on the whiteness and laue or oi r v t.,-w V The importance of controlling the whiteness and hue of CaCO3 was discussed. Defects in the method for the measurement of whiteness of CaCO3 introduced in the product inspection standard were indicated. It was suggested that Gantz whiteness or Hunter whiteness should be adopted to substitute for the blue whiteness and to be used as the index for the control of the whiteness of CaCO3 for PVC,-U production, in order to decrease the negative effects of whiteness and hue of CaCO3 on the whiteness and hue of PVC,-U products.
