The interval of intermediate point " ξ " in the Mean Value Theorem of Integrals is a 〈 ξ 〈 b, which is often mistaken as a 〈 ξ 〈 b. In fact, when the condition of the Mean Value Theorem of Integrals is changed into open interval, conclusions are still right. In this paper, the open interval proposition is discussed. Using the Modified Mean Value Theorem of Integrals in solving practical problems, we find that it is more convenient than the original theorem.
