通过对大理市、鹤庆县两地＂马厂＂＂小城＂＂罗伟邑＂三个村庄86户共430人语言的抽样调查和统计,以语言、年龄、性别三个变量分析当地白族使用母语、当地汉语方言、普通话的现实情况及其成因。调查发现白族的语言态度开放：认可母语的民族身份功能和情感功能;主动接受当地汉语方言、对普通话态度积极;认为白汉双语功能互补,大多数人对＂白汉双语教育＂持积极态度,但对＂白汉双文教育＂持消极态度。

Through investigating 430 people from 86 families in three villages included MaChang, XiaoCheng ＆ Luo WeiYi, which lie in Heqing county and Dali respectively, the paper discusses language using status and its cause on the use of Bai native language, Chinese dialect and standard Chinese in the local place by three variable quantities, namely language, age and gender. It finds that villagers have open attitudes toward the languages, more specifically, they accept identity function and emotional function of Bai language; approve the local Chinese dialect and stand mandarin; believe Bai language and Chinese function can complement each other and have positive attitude toward ＂Bai-Chinese language education ＂, but have gloomy sentiment to ＂ Bai-Chinese text education＂.
