The function and characteristic of calculating the square of earthwork has been introduced based on the TIN from the point cloud data,which comes from the 3D scanning total station instrument of TOPCON IS image.Then,the application of the system is introduced and analyzed in Qiqihar Nianzishan East Sea quarry.The practical application of that image fully automatic scanning Total Station in the mining operation process is more simple,highly efficient,shorter in operating period and more precise in measurement.
