根据植物叶形态特征提取中识别锯齿与叶裂位置的需求,设计了基于凸包的识别方法,通过轮廓跟踪、求凸包顶点、求凸包距离、形态学处理、求局部极值5个步骤,实现了对锯齿与叶裂位置的识别。实验表明,该方法行之有效。该方法的设计思路也适用于其它需要对角点进行分类、分级检测的应用场合。

A convex hull based method has been designed to meet the demand of location discrimination of leaf teeth and leaf lobes in leaf morphological characteristics extraction .It includes five steps: contour tracing, computing convex ver-tex, computing convex hull distance , morphologic processing and computing local extremum .The tests show the method is effective.The design idea of the method is also appropriate to other applications which have the demands of corners classi -fication and grading.
