A fault diagnosis approach based on a Fuzzy Neural Network ( FNN) is applied for spindle servo system of CNC ma-chine according to the fault features of spindle servo system .The system combines the advantages of neural network and fuzzy log-ic.The result for the fault diagnosis of spindle servo system shows that the system has fast reasoning speed and strong fault -toler-ance ability .
