青年教师是高校教学工作的中坚力量，青年教师的教学能力是影响教学质量和效果的关键因素，要提高教学质量和人才培养质量，必须重点培养和提升青年教师的教学能力。本文提出重视本科课堂教学竞赛，是提升地方院校青年教师教学水平的重要途径，并阐述了本院的具体做法。

The young teachers were the backbone of the teaching in higher education institutions. The teaching capa- bility of young teacher was a key factor and direct influenced on the teaching quality and effect. Emphasis on training and promoting the young teachers＇ teaching capacity were the major content of improving personnel training quality and the teaching quality. Launching the undergraduate teaching competition was an important way to improve the teaching ability of the young teachers in local colleges, and the concrete methods in our college were discussed.
