With the rapid development of national economy and town expansion, GIS is concerned for its true three-dimension data processing. Three-dimension GIS uses three-dimension data to describe geographical object, which is shown through three-dimensional coordinate. The paper presents the basic concept of three-dimension GIS and the method of data acquisition, paying special attention to the application of three-dimension GIS in city planning.
