目的探讨MRI测量健康中国人嗅觉相关中枢结构梨状皮质及杏仁核周围皮质( PCA)和眶额叶皮质( OFC)体积可行性及其随年龄变化的规律。方法87例(男∶女=44∶43)右利手健康志愿者纳入本研究,年龄20.0~69.9岁,每10岁为一组将其分为五个年龄组。应用Dr.View软件在冠状位T1WI上手工逐层测量并计算PCA和OFC体积。结果各年龄组之间PCA体积无明显差异, OFC体积随着年龄的增长呈逐渐缩小的趋势,但在40岁以前呈相对稳定的规律,自40岁以后开始逐渐缩小。相关分析显示,年龄与PCA体积之间无明显相关性,但与 OFC 体积之间呈负相关(左侧:r =-0.409, P <0.001;右侧:r =-0.369,P<0.001),即随着年龄的增长,左右两侧OFC体积均逐渐缩小。结论本研究利用MRI测量提供了健康中国人PCA及OFC体积的正常值范围,并发现OFC体积随年龄增长而逐渐缩小的规律,为临床检测嗅觉功能异常和诊断相关疾病提供一种客观的评价方法。

Objective To depict the changing rules of MRI volumes of piriform-cortical amygdala(PCA), orbitofrontal cortices ( OFC) ,and the relationships between volumes of PCA ,OFC and age in Chinese healthy adults , also the normal volumes of each age group .Methods One hundred and eleven healthy right-handed participants (54 males,57 females)from age 20 to 70 years were recruited to join this study.All the subjects accept MRI scan,and volumetric measurements of the PCA and OFC were performed using consecutive 1-mm thick coronal slices of MRIs with Dr.view software.Results Significant age differences were observed in the volume of OFC ,shown as becoming significantly reduced after 40 years old .Similar age-related volumetric changes were not found in the PCA . Additionally,Pearson partial correlation analyses revealed significant correlations between age and the volume of OFC ( left:r=-0.409 ,P<0.001;right:r=-0.369 ,P<0.001 ) .Conclusion Taking together ,the present data might be expected to contribute to establishing normative database for olfactory function and volumes of PCA and OFC .The volumes of bilateral OFC but not of the PCA were significantly declined with age .The present data provides the clinical objective evaluation method for testing the olfactory functions and might be useful in assessing the diseases which affect olfaction .
