隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段，更是一种思维方式。人类由近及远、由实体到非实体、由简单到复杂、由具体到抽象的认知规律，决定着人体及其器官是人类认知世界的基础。本文将运用隐喻理论分析英汉两种语言中的人体隐喻现象，从而揭示人体词语符号中显现的人类思维共性和文化特异性。

Metaphor is not only a rhetorical device but also a way of thinking. The cognitive law that man cogmzes things from the near to the far, from entity to non-entity, from the simple to the complex, and from the concrete to the abstract determines the basic role of body parts in cognizing the world. In this paper, a comparison of body metaphor in the two languages is made by applying the theory of metaphor, to show the universal human thinking and cultural difference revealed by metaphor.
