As serious deformation of large diameter steel casing occurred at main pier No. B11 of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, drilling cannot be carried out. The deformation and causes of the steel casing has been introduced with focus on the cutting treatment method for the deformed steel casing. Solutions against hole collapse and slurry leakage have been put forward, and the cutting effect has been analyzed, suggestions for the similar projects have been presented.
