《小岭曹氏宗谱》是一部尤对宣纸研究有特殊史料价值的史籍，它给后人留下了有关宣纸经营、产区分布、重要宣纸人物和宣纸发展史上重大事件的记载，同时还引发了我们对历史上小岭曹氏历代遵行“口训”，长期有效地对宣纸技艺进行保密问题的思考。
《小嶺曹氏宗譜》是一部尤對宣紙研究有特殊史料價值的史籍，它給後人留下瞭有關宣紙經營、產區分佈、重要宣紙人物和宣紙髮展史上重大事件的記載，同時還引髮瞭我們對歷史上小嶺曹氏歷代遵行“口訓”，長期有效地對宣紙技藝進行保密問題的思攷。
《소령조씨종보》시일부우대선지연구유특수사료개치적사적，타급후인류하료유관선지경영、산구분포、중요선지인물화선지발전사상중대사건적기재，동시환인발료아문대역사상소령조씨역대준행“구훈”，장기유효지대선지기예진행보밀문제적사고。
The Xiaoling Cao Genealogy is a historical book of special historical value especially for the study of the Xuan Paper. It records for the later generations the management of the Paper, the distribution of its producing area, and important personages and major events in the development of the Paper. It also arouses our reflections on questions about the Xiaoling Cao ’s complying historically with the unwritten family precepts through generations and effectively keeping secret the workmanship of the Xuan Paper over a long period of time.
