How to improve students' learning initiative has been the focus of teachers in colleges and universities. This article makes analysis of the necessity and feasibility to improve students' learning initiative of food nutrition and detection major, and explore the important roles of teachers' classroom expressions, multimedia, interactive teaching, and inquiry teaching in stimulating students' learning initiative.
