With the rapid growth of rural power load, 10 kV distribution lines of large power supply radius and heavy load can not meet the needs of users. Reactive power compensation must be imperative. This article expounds on the configuration principle and capacity of reactive power compensation and installation position determination method. Rural Power Grid of Jarud Banner,Tongliao city was taken as an example to analyze wattless compensation device in a bid to provide the reference for improving power supply quality of power supply enterprises.
