杏花村意象是杏花意象与村意象相结合的产物，首先出现于晚唐。现存许浑、杜牧、温庭筠、薛能的四首诗不约而同地创设了杏花村文学意象，其中只有杜牧《清明》诗与酒家义项相关。明中叶之后，贵池杏花村被认定为杜牧当年吟咏《清明》诗的地方，从此，贵池杏花村与杜牧、《清明》诗的关系确定，地方风物也日渐丰富起来。康熙二十四年，贵池邑人郎遂编成《杏花村志》十二卷，后被《四库全书》存目书收录。民国四年，贵池人胡子正编成《杏花村续志》三卷。杏花村作为地方文化资源不断地被保护开发。杏花村意象包含四种文化形态，即村诗文化、村酒文化、村落文化和村游文化。

The image of Apricot Flower Village is the result of combination of the apricot flower image and the village image, which first appeared in the late Tang Dynasty. Four poets of XU Hun, DU Mu, WEN Ting-jun, XUE Neng simultaneously created the image of Apricot Flower Village and only DU Mu?s poem Qing Ming is related to the semantic item of wineshop. After mid-Ming Dynasty, the Apricot Flower village in Guichi area was identified as the place where DU Mu recited his poem Qing Ming. From then on, the relation between the Apricot Flower Village in Guichi area and DU Mu and Qing Ming was determined, contributing to the increas-ingly abundant local customs and characters. In the 24th of Kangxi Empire, Lang Sui compiled Historical Re-cords in Apricot Flower Village of 12 volumes which was later accepted in Imperial Collection of Four. In 1915, HU Zi-zheng compiled Sequel of Historical records in Apricot Flower Village, altogether 3 volumes. As local cultural resource, Apricot Flower Village has been continually protected and developed. The image of Apricot Flower Village includes four cultural patterns: village poem culture, village wine culture, village culture and village sightseeing culture.
