A novel process for purification of steel plant converter gas by removing the harmful substances such as sulfur, phosphorous and arsenic using a temperature swing adsorption (TSA) technique and further removing the arsenic remaining in the gas using a adsorption technique and its practical application in a methanol plant with coke oven gas and converter gas as feedstock were introduced. This process had the advantages of high purifying degree, automation control, simple operation, and good economic and environmental benefits. The cost of purification was only 0.0144 RMB per cubic meter converter gas.
