The problems encounted in the application of heating unit load distribution optimization is simply generalized. The curves of energy consumption on heat supply and power supply were adopted to reach optimal load distribution by using dynamic optimizing method. Practically,the program of load distribution for heat supply and power supply was optimized in a 2 ×200 MW+2 ×300 MW thermal power plant,which obtained favorable energy-saving benefits with decrease of coal consumption by 36.91 tons per day.
