Domestic process pipeline inspection standards for oil&gas stations were assessed. The main problems were the absence of classification for process pipeline for oil&gas stations, and pipeline excavation length and inspection intervals position, and inspection periods and frequency for all kinds of pipelines. API RP 2611-2011《Inspection of In-service Terminal Piping Systems》was introduced. The technological advancement of API RP 2611 were the systematical classification for process pipeline for oil&gas stations, and definition and judge criteria for idle pipeline, and various pipeline inspection methods, and strict and detailed inspection periods and frequency. With the reference of API RP 2611-2011, it is useful to perfect China process pipeline inspection standards for oil&gas stations.
