The principle of the hydraulic winch controlled by hydraulic motor constant torque using proportional pressure reduc-ing valve and the proportional relief valve was analyzed in detail. This approach is suitably applied to small power winch,and the sys-tem is simple,which is easily controlled. The hydraulic source can be shared with other hydraulic equipment,and the system invest-ment is reduced.
