The operation principle of de-excitation circuit of the excitation system on the left bank of Xiluodu Hydropower Plant is described,as well as the working flowchart of de-excitation circuit at normal and emergency shut down of the power unit.According to the specification for static rectified excitation systems and the specific parameters of power units,the AC/DC field breakers and the de-excitation resistor of de-excitation circuit are designed and calculated,which proves the correctness of the device choice for de-excitation circuit from the theory.
