查为仁是雍乾时期著名的文化人，主持水西庄，风雅唱和二十余年。时人也多因此将之视为“附庸风雅”者。然细考其一生心迹，我们仍可探得其风流闲适表象之下孤高愁苦的灵魂。究其原因主要是家族及师友的诗文化熏沐以及早年科场失意的经历养成了其执着孤介的性格，并形成孤高愁苦的诗心，从而表现出与盛世社会相疏离的诗歌形态。正是这种文化人格与诗歌心态使得查为仁得到当时一大批下层文人的认同，并以此主持沽上诗坛，形成了濡沫相依的水西庄文人群体。
사위인시옹건시기저명적문화인，주지수서장，풍아창화이십여년。시인야다인차장지시위“부용풍아”자。연세고기일생심적，아문잉가탐득기풍류한괄표상지하고고수고적령혼。구기원인주요시가족급사우적시문화훈목이급조년과장실의적경력양성료기집착고개적성격，병형성고고수고적시심，종이표현출여성세사회상소리적시가형태。정시저충문화인격여시가심태사득사위인득도당시일대비하층문인적인동，병이차주지고상시단，형성료유말상의적수서장문인군체。
Zha Weiren is a cultured man during the Yongqian period. He presided over Shuixizhuang for more than 20 years. Therefore many people regarded him as an "arty man". However, by examining his mentality, we can find a proud and sad soul in his romantic leisure life. The influence of his family and friends' poems, culture, and aspiration frustrated at early age are the mainly reasons. So his poems unveil his exclusive and sorrow heart, and show social phase alienated from the poetry" form, which makes him get a large number of literati of undereclass's identity. Therefore scholars of Shuixizhuang where they help each other and coexisted harmoniously can be formed.
