Methyl pentanimidate was a key intermediate of chemical synthesis. It was synthesized from valeronitrile by Pinner reaction, neutralization by CH3ONa and amination. The suitable technology for synthesizing the target compound was investigated in detail. CH3ONa was substituded for NaOH to neutralize hydrochloride to get methyl pentanimidate. The synthesis route was simplified and obtained a higher yield of 0. 934.
