本文运用奥斯汀和塞尔的言语行为理论分析灾难新闻报道，发现报道者通常通过直接和间接的方式，采用不同的新闻报道话语传递出不同的意向。研究表明，灾难新闻报道者通过选择不同的报道话语，意在传递客观灾难信息的同时，表达其情感状态和引导公众行动。

In this paper, the intentions of English disaster news reporters are analyzed under the framework of Speech Act Theory in Pragmatics. The results indicate that English disaster news reporters often convey disastrous information in a very objective way. The news report, however, also carries various other intentions of the reporters in a direct or indi- rect way. Disaster news reporters use different speech acts to convey the disastrous information to the audience, pass on their emotional state such as sympathy to people, affect people ' s thoughts and persuade people to think and act in their way.
