系统功能语言学中语篇功能的一个重要部分是主位结构。本文以韩礼德（Halliday）的系统功能语法理论为基础,从构成、构成成分的功能意义以及结构特征等方面探讨了仅具有主位特性却不能穷尽小句主位潜势的特征性主位的相关情况,彰显其＂形式是意义的体现＂的语言观。对特征性主位的结构分析有助于更好地理解语篇。

The thematic structure is a crucial concept in the textual metafunction in Systemic Func- tional Linguistics. Based on Halliday' s systemic functional grammar theories, from the perspective of component, the functions of component and characteristics of their functional distributions, the paper discusses the issues of the characteristic themes, which appear in the thematic positions in clauses, but cannot exhaust the thematic potential, highlighting the language view that "the form is a manifes- tation of significance". And it is hoped that by means of the analysis of the structure of the character- istic themes the discourse comprehension will be better achieved.
