水稻新品种垦育29号是河北省农林科学院滨海农业研究所利用冀粳14号为母本、冀粳13号为父本杂交,再用冀粳13号为父本进行复交,多代定向选育而成。该品种具有米质优、熟期适中等特点,在河北省区域试验中较对照中作93增产达显著水平,居参试品种第1位。该品种适于旱育秧及节水栽培。

수도신품충은육29호시하북성농림과학원빈해농업연구소이용기갱14호위모본、기갱13호위부본잡교,재용기갱13호위부본진행복교,다대정향선육이성。해품충구유미질우、숙기괄중등특점,재하북성구역시험중교대조중작93증산체현저수평,거삼시품충제1위。해품충괄우한육앙급절수재배。
The new rice variety Kenyu No. 29 was bred by crossing between Jijing No. 14 ( female parent) and Jijing No. 13 (male parent) and composite crossing between F, (female parent) and Jijing No. 13 (male parent) with directional selection by the Institute of Coastal Agricultural Research, Hebei Academy of Agriculture an Forestry Sciences. It had fine quality and moderate mature period. The yield was significantly higher than the control in the regional test in Hebei Province, ranking the first place.
